Comcast would contribute about $15 billion for the stake — $5 billion to $7 billion in cash and the rest by giving its cable networks such as E! and Style to an NBC Universal joint venture with GE. The new NBC Universal would carry $8 billion to $10 billion of debt and operate under Comcast as its majority owner. Wishing to help the community in more ways than one, the Norwin Band Aides Organization, a booster support group for the Norwin Marching Band, will be launching a new drive Saturday. "Coats and Notes" will be held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Norwin High school, coinciding with the organization's craft show, which will be a drop-off point for warm outerwear and used musical instruments. "We wanted to do something to give back to the community," event organizer Lori Thomas said.
